Funny, funny

After suffering withdrawals from daily blogstaulking, I was off of the wagon this morning and wandered upon this picture- which made me smile. Who is everyone voting for??? I asked myself, and then pondered on the fact that I have never voted (sinner, I know). I ALWAYS have some political opinion, and have always had the "don't vote, can't complain" attitude but felt justified in myself since the person I would have voted for has always won- even if it has been close calls! So- let me know your political position this year. Just curious....

All Because Two People Fell in Love

Four years ago I met the man of my dreams on this day- you could definitely say I got lucky! So we're wishing you a Happy St. Patrick's Day- hoping your lives have been or will be as "lucky" and happy as ours.

TAGGED- 6 things you may not know about me

I was tagged, by Vanessa- and my goodness this was hard to do! So in advance, sorry for any pathetic answers, I'm not that much of a mystery- or a sharer!

1. I clean my ears with q-tips everytime I shower, despite health hazards.
2. Hablo espanol, y entiendo mas que tu piensas.
3. I love to pluck my eyebrows in the car- obviously at a stoplight if I'm driving.
4. While most people love chocolate chip cookie dough, I'm a fan of sugar cookie dough.
I was having problems finishing and asked Jorge to help..... the next 2 are from him...
5. I check myself out in the mirror.
6. I don't know I'm beautiful.

I tag: Becky, Cambria, and Lauren if you haven't done this!

"the" hat

So I decided to get a little crafty, or attempt to...this winter. This was my practice beanie, but I thought if it looked good I'd let Jace wear it. BUT it was like an inch too short so I didn't even put the pom pom type thing on top. Reuben has to do what Jace does (a little jealousy) so he's IN the exersaucer and trying on the hat. We'll see if this project ever solidifies later- haven't had the time to try again. Ok, I lied- I tried once and Reuben found it and unraveled it. So sad- he might have even gotten a time out for that one. Don't worry- his time outs are like 2 minutes sitting on his bed and then he has to say sorry, or as he would say it, "solly".

JACE

Jace is now 10 months old, has 7 teeth, is almost walking and so much fun! He works hard to keep up with his older brother, and is becoming a little tough guy because he's putting up with his older brother. I shamefully remember being pregnant and wondering how in the world I could love another child as much as I love Reuben, but I SOOOO DO! This first picture is him showing off his big dinosaur teeth, and the second is one of when he managed to army crawl himself into this stable-tent thing that came with horses, cows, and sheep. He was rather proud of himself, and so was I- thus the picture!

REUBEN

This blog is really a tribute to our wonderful kids, so I will update you on them individually- Reuben, ...what can I say? Reuben is all boy! He loves dirt (much to the dismay of his mother, but I'm adjusting!) he's not afraid of anything (again, I'm adjusting) and he is obsessed with cows and horses. He goes to the ranch with Jorge on a regular basis, and is truly enjoying life. I know we're biased, but he's also a smartiepants. The other day, Jace wanted his sippy and he told him, "No Jace- drink Mommy!" I was surprised and a little disgusted- he really does understand what's going on under the blanket. I always told Jorge that we weren't going to tell our children that Daddy was a bullrider, so they wouldn't follow in his footsteps but I guess it's in their genes. Reuben wants us to play the bull, and then he bucks himself off. Followed by a throw of the hat, of course. He falls asleep watching bullriding on ESPN classics almost daily (that's a bedtime routine, right?!) and he's dissappointed when there are only cartoons on in the morning, no bullriding. These pictures were taken before we moved from the old house, the day these horses were taken back to the ranch. There's a before picture and after- on the horse, and off. Enjoy!

CHRISTMAS

Well, those of you who have talked to me in the past 4 months know that my computer went on strike before we moved- so here's an attempt to catch up. Christmas went well...by well I mean we lived through it- I do not recommend moving at Christmas time- chaos! We didn't get to do all the Christmasy things that I just LOVE- and it seemed that the few things we did get do were on a list of things to do along with the work on the house, etc. But we did take a break from remodeling to enjoy our family visits, time for the boys to play with their cousins, and celebrating our Savior's birth. Here are a few pics. Ignore the paint color on the background wall- we didn't like it once we put it on and it's now a darker brown, so we used that color as "primer"- I know- we're dorks. Hope you had a Merry Christmas!
